In extreme cases inter-commune of Olonzac and Roubia, draws up on a visible peak by far an immense block of cubic masonry of approximately 3m ², Roman epoch, which was unfortunately disaggregated by the pickaxe of the demolition contracters. This Tower was to constitute, the day, a marvellous observatory, including a very wide field of vision on Minervois. The night, an emanated light signal of Tourril could transmit the announcement of a danger, a great event, a victory or an order. Until proof of the opposite, one can allot to this Roman construction the role of a “TOWER A SIGNALS”.
